Millions of dollars in funding are available for the installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) in existing affordable housing properties. Eligible major rehabilitation projects going through the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) 4% and 9% programs can also apply for the Solar on Multifamily Affordable Housing (SOMAH) program for cash incentives and free comprehensive technical assistance, including to transition to all-electric buildings.
